Having been a Quilt Shop owner until 2021, Yolande’s teaching was only locally focused as the shop was her priority. Now she has the freedom to develop original, unique classes, to impart her knowledge of Patchwork Basics, traditional hand piecing and traditional and big-stitch Hand Quilting.
Colour, Pattern, Design – the perfect elements for a teacher and former Textile Designer, bringing a Quilt Block or pattern to life. Encouraging pupils to explore colour and design possibilities and helping them to master a new technique, thrills her.
Encouraging pupils to explore colour and design to create their own unique version of the project is very much part of her teaching philosophy.
