Ina started her quilting journey in 1977 and is deeply passionate about this art form. She has had the privilege of holding leadership roles in various quilting guilds, including Good Hope Quilters Guild and the Jacaranda Quilters Guild. Currently, she serves as the Chairlady of the Outeniqua Quilters Guild.
She specializes in a variety of quilting techniques, from traditional patchwork to modern designs, and is always eager to explore new patterns and styles. She loves exploring innovative techniques and sharing her knowledge with others, which has made her journey incredibly rewarding.
Beyond quilting, she enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. She has taught numerous quilting workshops and classes, helping aspiring quilters develop their skills and discover the joy of quilting. Her work has been showcased both locally and internationally and has had the honour of judging quilt competitions in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Dubai. In 2022 she was thrilled to receive the SAQG Pro Dedicate Award for her contributions to quilting in South Africa.
Quilting is a way to express her creativity and connect with a community of like-minded individuals. She is always excited to embark on new quilting projects and continue to grow as an artist.
