Danél Muller began her quilting journey in 2006. Drawing on her diverse background in IT, art and music, she infuses her designs with creativity and innovation, inspiring and motivating others through her work.
In 2011, her quilt A Colourful Palette was featured as part of a solo exhibition by Pieter van Rensburg. Her quilts have since been showcased at various prestigious venues. Her work has also toured South Africa with the SAQG Travelling Exhibition and IQCSA, and internationally in Germany, Ireland and Scotland.
An accredited teacher through SAQG, Danél shares her expertise from foundational skills to advanced methods in art quilting. She has taught at the last two Quilt Festivals in Cape Town and Pietermaritzburg. She was a speaker at the festival in Pietermaritzburg in 2024 where she gave a talk on Music as quilt inspiration.
She teaches on invitation as well as from her home studio where she continues to inspire creativity in her students.
