Dalene saw Bosa Filet Lace for the first time in 2015 in Sardinia, Italy. She then started practicing this art form and was soon trained. Filet lace has a rich history, originating in Europe during the Renaissance. Its design was inspired by fishing and hunting nets, but it evolved into a delicate decorative art form. Developed by Italian and French artisans, filet lace became popular in the 16th and 17th centuries among nobility due to its’ intricate beauty. This technique involved creating patterns on a mesh background using knots and open spaces.
